Praise be to the Lord

I have loved reading these chapters in Psalms 1-40.
They have comforted me, given me energy, a new way of rejoicing, as well as permission to bear my soul, happy & sad.
Last week was good & hard.
Good because we are ALL starting new routines, creating goals, and problem solving.
Hard because we are getting out of our comfort zones, making changes, and conquering fears.
I felt a calmness as I read a psalms each morning, many of them matched my prayers.
I love that God hears us,
draws near to us,
and that Christ holds
our hearts, souls, and hands.
Here are my favorite verses which I decided to combine and make a psalms of my own.
-I will be like a tree planted in the rivers of water, that bring forth Christ fruit. [ch1]
-O Lord, my shield, my glory; the lifter of my head. - I cried unto thee with my voice, and thou heard me out of thy holy hill. [ch3]
-Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me & hear my prayer. [ch4]
-Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength & my redeemer. [ch19]
-Thou hast turned my mourning into dancing, I sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.[ch30]
-I’m Lord, Thou put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: [ch40]

Praise be to the Lord!
To make your scriptures come alive, considered writing your own psalms or use a combination of verses to create a “go to” one for you.

You may also consider highlighting all the I statements & my statements thinking of yourself as you do.

To see feel more love & see more light, you may like to highlight the Lord, God, and Their blessings in yellow.

My favorite, so far, is Psalms 27.
